More Georgia Republicans view embattled TV cook Paula Deen favorably than Martin Luther King, Jr., recent poll results from Public Policy Polling suggest.

That’s among the interesting tidbits the North Carolina-based organization posted Thursday on its website. Despite her recent controversy, Deen “remains quite popular in her home state,” it notes.

In contrast, just 8 percent of Georgians have a favorable view of reality TV star Honey Boo Boo, compared to 63 percent with a negative one, the poll results indicate.
