Macon Mayor Robert Reichert was elected June 24 to the Georgia Municipal Association’s board of directors, at that group’s annual convention in Savannah.
“We are pleased to have Mayor Reichert taking on this leadership position,” GMA Executive Director Lamar Norton said in a news release. “He’s well respected by his colleagues, and I’m sure he’ll provide great leadership to the cities in the state.”
Reichert’s position is one of 14 at-large seats on the board. GMA is a nonprofit group that represents 519 cities.
