Jesse Petrea, a lifelong native of Savannah and the owner of two assisted-living businesses, announced his intention Wednesday to run for the state representative seat now occupied by Ben Watson.
Petrea is the most recent domino to fall since U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston (R-Savannah) entered the U.S. Senate race to fill the seat being vacated by Saxby Chambliss.
“I believe my values are consistent with those of this district and this community,” said Petrea, who was endorsed at his announcement in Johnson Square by state Rep. Ron Stephens (R-Savannah).
