If elected mayor this year, Paul pledged to execute the downtown redevelopment plan adopted by the city council late last year and push to get rid of deteriorating apartment complexes that breed crime.
“We need good quality rental housing … that people can afford,” he said.
Paul said he also would seek to reverse an employment pattern that finds 70 percent of Sandy Springs residents commuting to and from work outside of the city.
