Patterson seeks re-election to Carrollton City Council – Times-Georgian: Local News

Carrollton Ward 2 City Councilman Mike Patterson said Friday he is seeking a second term because he feels the current city management team and council are working well together to bring positive change.

“I would like to stay involved in city projects and encourage new ones as our area economy rebounds and we begin to see growth again,” Patterson said. “The overall team of mayor, council and city staff have worked really well together, and I think the team should continue.”

Qualifying for all municipal elections, including Wards 1 and 2 in Carrollton, are being held Monday through Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day at the county election supervisor’s office on College Street in Carrollton. All council candidates must be registered voters in the city and the wards for which they are qualifying, and be at least 21 years of age.

Carrollton city council members serve four-year terms. Patterson was elected to his present seat in November 2009, with his term beginning in January 2010.
