Getting to Know Nunn

As extreme liberal groups rally around Nunn, important questions remain over her stances on issues

Washington, DC – Liberal extremist Michelle Nunn has all but formally announced her candidacy for the Georgia Senate seat; and although she isn’t national or local Democrats’ first choice, she’s all they have at this point. While Nunn’s campaign has sparked excitement among liberal outside groups, the National Republican Senatorial Committee is today pointing to the important questions that remain about this long-shot candidate’s stance on issues.

Earlier this month, Democrats admitted they don’t even know where Nunn “stands on key issues.”  And while outside organizations across the liberal spectrum will line up in support of Nunn including EMILY’s List and surely the national Occupy Movement, where do Georgians stand? What do Georgia voters actually know about Nunn’s stances?

1. It’s well known that extreme EMILY’s List is a proud supporter of ObamaCare. Does Michelle Nunn support ObamaCare too?
2. What does Nunn think about the report published by the non-partisan Society of Actuaries shows that ObamaCare, will increase the costs of medical claims in Georgia by more than 27%?
   (Note) The AP reports, “That’s likely to increase premiums for at least some Americans buying individual plans.”
3. What will Nunn do to assist small business owners and families who are voicing major concerns over higher premiums, which in turn undercuts the Obama Administration’s promise of lower health care costs?
4. Does Nunn believe the government knows better than the employees of small businesses who may not be able to have any say in the health care exchange designed for them?
5. Why hasn’t Nunn said anything over HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius’ work to fundraise for nonprofits that support ObamaCare? Why hasn’t Nunn spoken up over the Democrats’ work to pressure the IRS to target conservative groups?

Because Nunn’s extreme record of praising radical liberal groups like the Occupy Movement illustrates just how dangerously out of touch she is with voters in Georgia.”
