Legislative Update
This has been a wonderful week in the Senate and I wanted to take a minute to share it with you.
I’m dedicated to serving you, so I’ll be emailing our legislative updates weekly during the session.

Highlights of Legislation passed this week:
House Bill 75: Amended FY 15 Budget
Senate Bill 18: Life Experience to Tech College Credit
- SB 18 allows the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) to accept prior work experience and skills learned through the Military to count for academic credit
Senate Bill 58: Georgia Leadership and Service Admissions Act
- Allows each member of the General Assembly, the Governor, and the Lieutenant Governor to publicly distinguish a deserving student with a written letter of recommendation for that student’s use in the college admissions process, providing that the student is committed to serving in the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program.
