Lawrenceville mulls allowing overnight dog care | Gwinnett Daily Post

LAWRENCEVILLE — Lawrenceville will consider at its next meeting whether to allow a national franchise company to provide day and overnight care for dogs within the city limits.

The council heard a first reading Monday night by City Attorney Lee Thompson on a zoning ordinance amendment request by Camp Bow Wow, located off Old Norcross Road, to operate such a business, which also would include grooming, training and in-home pet care services, in the HM Zoning District.

If the rezoning is approved, indoor kennels will be the principal use of the facility, and outdoor kennels will be approved as a special-use permit.
