Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed’s star is about to shine a bit brighter in the constellation of Democratic politics.
The Democratic National Committee is set to vote this Friday in Arizona to add Reed to its executive committee, a move that sources suggest is all but a formality.
The mayor is already a considerable force in Georgia politics and if he’s affirmed, he’ll be positioned to bring greater focus and resources to the state ahead of a critical U.S. Senate race for the party.
