Steve Forbes Endorses Jack Kingston for U.S. Senate
“Jack Kingston will cut the budget, fight taxes, and reignite the economy”

Businessman, activist, and former presidential candidate Steve Forbes today endorsed the candidacy of Jack Kingston for United States Senate.

Forbes, who is Chairman and CEO of Forbes Media, said he thinks Kingston is the best candidate for the job because of his business experience and budget cutting record.

“Jack Kingston knows what businesses need to grow because he comes from the business world,” said Forbes. “In Congress he has distinguished himself as a proven budget cutter. I wholeheartedly endorse his candidacy for U.S. Senate. Conservatives can rely on Jack Kingston to take up the fight for limited government, a robust economy, and a strong dollar.”

Kingston, who first worked at the Port of Savannah, launched a successful career in business insurance where he rose to the position of Vice President. He helped grow John D. Carswell Company and later Palmer and Cay into one of the largest privately held insurance brokerages in the country.

In Congress, Kingston has worked on the House Appropriations Committee to eliminate wasteful and duplicative programs. In just two years as Chairman of the subcommittee which oversees agriculture spending, Kingston cut President Obama’s budget by $3.6 billion.

Kingston is running to replace retiring Senator Saxby Chambliss in a bid to renew the American Dream. He has proposed a six-point plan centered on balancing the budget, bolstering national defense, and encouraging private-sector job creation.
