Kingston Campaign Announces Mid-State Endorsements
Sixty-two Elected Officials Endorse Candidacy for Senate

Sixty-two mid-state elected officials today publicly endorsed the candidacy of Jack Kingston for the Republican nomination for United States Senate.

Voting for the May 20 Republican primary has begun with absentee ballots available and in person advance voting taking place all across Georgia.

Among those officials announcing their endorsement today, State Senator Ross Tolleson (R-Perry) chose to back Kingston because of his focus on service.

“America needs leaders in the U.S. Senate. Jack Kingston is willing and able to help lead America back to greatness,” said Tolleson. “Jack Kingston will not be worried about re-election but rather about serving the people of Georgia and turning the country around.”

Harris County Sheriff Mike Jolley accounted his support to Kingston’s values of frugality, hard work, and commitment to family.

“Jack Kingston is the only person running for the U.S. Senate in Georgia that is a truly proven conservative,” Jolley said. “Jack Kingston is frugal, he is a hard worker and he has strong family values that I trust to be genuine.”

For Columbia County Commissioner Trey Allen, it is Kingston’s proven record of championing the conservative cause.

“I’m supporting Jack Kingston because he has a proven conservative record as a warrior for Georgia’s values and I want him to keep fighting for us in the U.S. Senate,” said Allen. “In the end, I’m supporting him because he’s truly a good man and for that reason, I trust him to make a terrific Senator.”

Mayor Phil Best of Dublin attributed his support of Kingston to his ability to get things done while staying true to his values.

“Jack Kingston has always taken the common sense approach to his endeavors,”Best said. “He stands behind his conservative principles and consistently works toward sensible solutions, which we need a lot more of in Washington.”

Kingston is a candidate to replace retiring Senator Saxby Chambliss. In addition to the support of more than 300 public officials and countless grassroots activists, he has earned the support of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, conservative talk radio host Sean Hannity, and Georgia political figure Barbara Dooley among others.

Kingston grew up in shadow of the University of Georgia in Athens where his father was a professor in the college of education. After earning a degree in economics from UGA, Kingston moved to Savannah where he first worked at the Port before launching a successful career selling business insurance.
