The number of companies looking at Macon-Bibb County for possible new sites is trending upward.

The Macon Economic Development Commission ended 2013 with 30 to 40 percent more projects “than we’ve had during the preceding 12 months,” Senior Vice President Pat Topping said during Monday’s Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority meeting. “Activity is still good. I think we are fortunate because some other communities around the state have not seen this level of activity.”
