Macon, Ga. — The manager of a popular nightclub in Macon said the decision to ban smoking inside the establishment was strictly business. When Hummingbird Stage and Taproom manager Tim Oblegoner announced that, effective September first, smoking will only be allowed on the outside patio of the nightclub, he also predicted other bars would follow suit:
“It’s something that businesses should and probably will do on their own,” he said.
But that’s an open question. Will bars and restaurants in Macon really follow the Hummingbird’s lead?
