Houston County investigators say they arrested a chief magistrate’s constable when he arrived at a woman’s home to exchange sexual favors for delaying her eviction.
Warren Scott Hicks, 51, was arrested about 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the woman’s apartment by investigators with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, the agency said in a statement.
According to the release, Hicks is a chief constable working with the Houston County Magistrate Court. The agency said Hicks was released after posting a $10,000 bond on charges of pandering and violation of an oath by a public officer.
The statement said the woman notified law enforcement officials after a white male represented himself as a constable and called.
“The male had offered to delay the eviction process in exchange for sexual favors,” the sheriff’s office said in its statement.
