From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
DeKalb County authorities executed search warrants Monday morning at the home and office of county CEO Burrell Ellis, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Three unmarked police cars were parked outside Ellis’s home in the Southland subdivision, Channel 2 said.
The search comes on the same day as Ellis testified before a special grand jury investigating county watershed operations.
Ellis’ office said he would be making a public statement at 12:30 p.m.
DeKalb District Attorney Robert James is investigating the watershed department’s bidding process while addressing claims of bid rigging and kickbacks involving the county and a contractor.`
