Georgia unemployment down a bit to 8.2% in April – Atlanta Business Chronicle

Georgia’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate went down 0.2 points to 8.2 percent in April, the Georgia Department of Labor reported.

The rate was 8.4 percent in March and 9.1 percent in April 2012.

The state also added 31,200 new jobs in April, with most gains in leisure and hospitality, professional and business services, trade and transportation, education and health services and construction.
