Georgia Supremes uphold business tax on lawyers – Atlanta Business Chronicle

The Georgia Supreme Court Monday upheld an ordinance in Dunwoody requiring business owners to pay an occupation tax.

Lawyers Robert Moss and Jeffrey Rothenberg challenged the ordinance, arguing it was unconstitutional because it set a precondition on the practice of law and was an improper attempt to regulate the legal profession.

Monday’s Supreme Court decision in favor of the ordinance upheld a DeKalb County court ruling.
