Deal Dominates, Carter Complains 

Following tonight’s televised debate in Perry, GA, where Governor Nathan Deal won a resounding victory over liberal state senator Jason Carter, Georgia Republican Party Chairman John Padgett issued the following statements:

“While Governor Nathan Deal used tonight’s debate to highlight the policy initiatives that made Georgia number one for business, Jason Carter attempted to con voters with baseless attacks and empty promises.  Under Governor Deal’s leadership, our state has grown.  Georgia is the epicenter of job creation in the South and our future looks brighter than ever.

“It was clear tonight that Governor Deal was the only serious candidate on stage.  Deal presented a real vision for Georgia’s future whereas Carter continued to complain about things he backed before he decided to run for higher office.”
