MCCALLUM POSTS STRONG FUNDRAISING NUMBERS CONTINUES TO LEAD THE PACK

For the second quarter in a row, conservative businessman and former Newt Gingrich aide John McCallum led the pack in fundraising in the race for the United States Congress in Georgia’s First Congressional District.  After filing his first quarter fundraising report with the Federal Election Commission (FEC), McCallum released the following statement:

“Heather and I are blessed to have so many friends and neighbors willing to support my campaign for Congress,” said McCallum.  “I am running because the American Dream is in peril.  Every child born in America today will inherit $1.5 million in debt before they are placed in their mother’s arms for the first time.  That’s not the American Dream – it’s an American nightmare, and career politicians in both parties are to blame.  We need to cut spending, balance the budget, and get America working again.

“God has been so gracious to our family.  The strong outpouring of support continues to encourage us as we move into the final weeks of the campaign.  I want to thank each and every person for their generosity and prayers.  God willing, I will have the opportunity to serve the people of Georgia’s First District in the United States Congress.”

John McCallum raised $275,016 in the first quarter, including a $100,000 personal loan.  As of March 31, he had $372,801.25 cash-on-hand.

Even without his personal loan, Republican candidate John McCallum outraised his opponents.
