Former Kingston Staffer considering a run for 1st Congressional District

David Schwarz, a former aide to Congressman Jack Kingston, is considering a campaign for Kingston’s seat if his former boss runs for United States Senate.

Schwarz, who sat with Libby and Jack Kingston during the GA GOP dinner, made his rounds at the dinner and noted that he is the first person to register a congressional exploratory committee under FEC campaign law. It appears he is seriously considering a run for the GA-1 US House seat should Congressman Jack Kingston enter the US Senate race officially.

Schwarz, a Savannah native, is a small business owner and lives in Chatham County. He will be 39 years old in 2014 and is a lifelong Republican activist. Schwarz is reported to have strong civic and financial backing within the Chatham County community and beyond.
