Ester Fleming announces for State House District 112

Ester Fleming, conservative small businessman and former Newton County Commissioner, today announced his campaign for State House District 112.

Representative Doug Holt, who currently represents District 112, announced yesterday that he would not seek re-election to the State House.

District 112 includes all of Morgan County and part of Newton County.

Said Fleming, “First, I want to thank Representative Holt for his service in the State House, and Iwish him the best in the future. I have always been committed  to serving our community and our families, and I am excited to announce my campaign for State House to continue my record of service. We are facing a lot of tough issues, and we need a proven conservative leader we can trust to represent us, champion the interests of our community and stand up for our principles.”

“Through my time in public service, I had a record of passing conservative reforms, listening to the people I represented and always doing the right thing. That’s the type of leadership I will provide in the State House. If you give me the honor to serve you, I will always remember that I answer to you, and I will make you proud.

“If elected, I will use my business experience to work with Governor Deal and our state leaders to push continued reforms to lower taxes.  As well as work to attract more companies like Baxter International to grow our economy and foster job growth. I will protect and promote our agriculture industry that has a tremendous impact on our economy. As a conservative, I will stand strong to protect our conservative principles, and I will do everything possible to oppose radical policies like Obamacare coming out of Washington, D.C. You have my word that I will do everything possible to stand up for our families and improve our community’s future.”

About Ester Fleming

Fleming was elected to serve four terms on the Newton County Board of Commissioners. He has a diverse background as a small business owner, as a manager for several fortune 500 companies, and is currently employed with the Gwinnett County Government Office of Support Services andserves on the Covington Airport Authority.  He was appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue to serve a term on the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority has served in leadership positions with the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia and is the former Chairman of the Newton County Republican Party.  Ester has been married to his wife Delia for 41 years andthey have three sons and three grandchildren.
