Ellis, Hart expected at neighborhood meeting Thursday | Politics | Macon.com

Residents of Macon’s Ward 2 will have a chance Thursday evening to hear from Bibb County Commission Chairman Sam Hart and former Macon Mayor C. Jack Ellis.

Both are expected at the monthly community meeting to be held at 6:30 p.m. in Covenant Life Cathedral Church, at 4543 Bloomfield Road, according to Macon City Councilman Henry Gibson.

Ellis and Hart are both announced candidates for the new office of countywide mayor, in the Macon-Bibb County consolidated government scheduled to begin in January 2014.
