Effingham Sheriff’s Office reminds parents to ‘Look Again’ | savannahnow.com

The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office displayed a simple $15 device Thursday that could save a child’s life.

The light-activated device uses an audio reminder for drivers to check the child safety seat for a child when the car door is opened.

“We’re not here to recommend a particular device,” Sheriff’s Office spokesman David Ehsanipoor said. “We do want people to know there are devices available if they feel they need it.”

The Sheriff’s Office also recently joined with Gov. Nathan Deal’s campaign urging parents to “Look Again.” The campaign is to raise awareness and remind parents and caregivers of the dangers of leaving a child in a car.
