Early Voting For Runoff Starts Monday – Elections – Canton-Sixes, GA Patch

Voters in Canton and Georgia Senate District 14 will have to once again head to the polls in two weeks to vote in the Dec. 3 runoff for the general election and the special election.

Early voting starts on Monday for the runoff, which will fill the Wards 1 and 3 seats on the Canton City Council and the Senate seat vacated by Barry Loudermilk of Cassville.

Voting will take place at the Cherokee County Elections Office at 400 East Main Street in downtown Canton.

Voters can cast ballots between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday Nov. 18; between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 19 through Friday Nov. 22; and between 8:30 and 5 p.m. Monday Nov. 25 through Wednesday Nov. 27.

Voting will not take place on Thursday Nov. 28, Friday Nov. 29 or Monday Dec. 2. Polls in Canton and the Senate district will open between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 3 for the runoff.

Running in the Canton City Council runoff are Ward 1 candidates Sandy McGrew and Clint Weatherby and Farris Yawn and John Rust for the Ward 3 seat.
