Davis wins mayor; SPLOST loses | The Augusta Chronicle

Augusta’s new mayor in January will be Sen. Hardie Davis.

Alvin Mason conceded the election in a phone call to Davis. The Augusta commissioner was lagging badly behind in second place to Davis, who had nearly 75 percent of the vote with most of the 69 precincts still not fully reported.
