ADEL — Celebrating the culmination of years of work, the Adel-Cook County Chamber of Commerce held their Business After Hours at the new Cook County Airport Terminal. The new terminal represents years of work from the Cook County Airport Authority, the Chamber of Commerce, Cook County, the city of Adel, Georgia Department of Transportation, OneGeorgia and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
“That’s what it took to make this facility happen,” said Jerry Connell, President and CEO of the ACC Chamber of Commerce. “It took hard work from a whole bunch of people.”
It was back in 2010 that the Airport Authority put together a package detailing the changes they’d like to make to the airport and presented it to the State Director of Aviation and OneGeorgia.
“We sold them on the project,” said Mike Dinnerman, Executive Director for the Cook County Airport Authority. “That’s what planted the seed and got the ball rolling.”
