Report shows strong support from the First Congressional District
(Pooler)—Republican State Senator Buddy Carter released his campaign’s financial disclosure Thursday reporting raising $232,837 from 176 donors during the first two months of the campaign.
“Senator Carter’s success is the result of true, broad-based support across the district,” said Carter’s Director of Fundraising, Peggy Lee Mowers, who also served as Congressman Jack Kingston’s chief fundraiser and one of his top aides for 16 years. “Just like with Jack Kingston, Buddy’s support is broad-based and not just limited to one profession or group.”
•Strong Support from the First District and Georgians: 80% of Buddy Carter’s campaign contributions came from the First Congressional District, and 97% of all of Buddy Carter’s donors live in Georgia.
•Broad-based support: Carter’s June 30th campaign filing confirms he enjoys support from a diverse list of 176 contributors from many different walks of life. He received contributions from nine of the counties in the district.
•Support from his profession and his Republican colleagues: As a pharmacist, Buddy enjoyed the support of fellow colleagues across Georgia. Senator Carter’s report also shows 27 Republican legislators have made contributions and 47 Republican legislators have announced their support.
