British Consul General Meets with Mayor Reed
British Consul General Jeremy Pilmore-Bedford met with Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed 13 January, the same week Atlanta Hawks travels to London to play in the O2 against the Brooklyn Nets.
“The UK has a strong relationship with Atlanta, and I hope to continue this trend during my tenure,” said Pilmore-Bedford. “It was exciting to discuss how our partnership can grow through learning from each other’s unique challenges. I wish the Atlanta business envoy to London, during the Hawks game, great success and increase trade between our cities.”
Topics discussed during meeting include public-private partnerships and the many cultural ties between the UK/US including a love for sports and entertainment, highlighting the soon to be opened Pinewood Studios in Atlanta.
