Ellis Seeks To Fix Fulton
Candidate for District 2 Seeks Solutions to Broken County
(North Fulton)– Bob Ellis has begun his campaign for Fulton County Commission District 2, a newly created district that was drawn to correct the long-standing underrepresentation of the taxpayers in North Fulton County. Ellis, an executive with The Chubb Corp., a Fortune 250 Company and international leader in the insurance industry, will use his 20-plus years of business experience to help create solutions for Fulton County.
“The issues with Fulton County government have been well-documented and have existed for far too long,” said Ellis. “I’m running to make sure that the residents of District 2 and all of Fulton County have a strong voice leading and working for real solutions to fix Fulton County –and to do it now.”
As commissioner, Ellis will work to reduce the tax burden on homeowners, deliver necessary county services with higher quality and greater efficiency, and reduce the size of Fulton County government.
“A dysfunctional Fulton County government is a problem not only for Fulton taxpayers but also for the entire state of Georgia. Fulton County is too big to ignore and too important to the economic vitality of the state,” Ellis said. “I am a collaborative leader who will utilize my leadership and management skills to work with all the affected constituencies – the state, North Fulton cities, my fellow citizens as well as business and community leaders – to find solutions.”
Bob is committed to North Fulton’s new district and to keeping North Fulton a great place to live, work and play. Bob’s wife Jennifer teaches at Birmingham Falls Elementary. Bob and Jennifer, along with their children Chandler, Lindsey and Nathan, live in Milton and have made their home in north Fulton for 18 years. The Ellis family is active at Northbrook United Methodist Church in Roswell, where Bob has served as lay leader and chaired the stewardship committee, staff parish relations committee and Church Administrative Council. A native Georgian, Bob is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he graduated with honors with a degree in Finance.
