Bob Barr endorsed by Canton TEA Party

[Editor’s Note: the press release doesn’t actually say “endorse,” but I assume that’s the meaning of “Tea Party Favorite.” If my characterization is incorrect, please let me know and I’ll correct it.]

RE: Canton T.E.A. Party Names Bob Barr “Tea Party Favorite”

At a recent meeting of the Executive Committee of the Canton T.E.A. Party, members unanimously decided to immediately announce Bob Barr as our “Tea Party Favorite” for the 11th Congressional District.

Carolyn Cosby, leader of the group, explained that the campaign to elect Barr in the 11th District “may be one of the most important elections for Congress for the 2014 mid-term elections.”

Cosby continued, “Cherokee County has the unique opportunity to send a proven leader to Congress who has the experience and know-how to flex political muscle and take on the oval office. While other candidates for the 11th Congressional District are promising, Barr is vetted by his national reputation alone and the group is convinced our country needs him in Washington now.”

Cosby observed, “Obama is spending all his energy in his second term defending his first. Obama lost on gun rights, he is losing on immigration and he is losing on Obamacare. The Tea Party is positioned to lead on national issues and Barr will be a ready asset, we predict, central in moving forward our agenda to secure our Republic and America’s role as the leader of the free world.”

Barr can be counted on to ACT on his core convictions which are the founding principles of the Constitution and Tea Party core principles to include less taxes, limited government and personal responsibility.

Barr will assume his seniority which will allow him to begin affecting change as soon as he assumes office. Cosby concluded, “We need to put Barr’s knowledge and experience to work NOW! The country can’t wait.”

Cosby reports other nominees for “Tea Party Favorites” will be announced, but the group believed it to be critical to immediately act on the Barr nomination.
