Friends,

On November 10th, I was honored to announce my candidacy for Chairman of the Georgia Republican Party.

I am running for the Chairmanship in order to take the Georgia GOP into the future with the best technologies available, with a Grassroots Organization that is involved and whose input and opinions are appreciated and with a message that attracts more voters. We don’t need to compromise our principles to attract voters. We simply have to message them in a way that makes people realize this is the Party that represents them!

Since November, I have crisscrossed this state north, south, east, and west and had the opportunity to speak to and with so many of you. I want to thank you for your time, support, and encouraging words.

I am from the grassroots and I am running to represent YOU

You have known me for years working TOGETHER with you in the trenches for the Party, our candidates, and our common values. I did not just jump into this race for the Chairmanship armed only with platitudes, but I did so with a plan and a Blueprint for the future of the Georgia Republican Party that, with your continued help, will ensure that our Great State continues to be RED into the future.

My background in the grassroots, including 4 years as Gwinnett County Chairman, 6 years as a District Chairman of 2 different Congressional Districts, and 4 years as 2nd Vice Chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, has given me a full perspective of what our party’s leadership at all levels across this state faces as they run County and District Parties. My primary goal as Chairman will be to support our Republican Elected Officials, support our Local Parties, and work to assure that the offices of Georgia’s Statewide Offices remain firmly in the hands of the GOP as they are now.

For future success, our 3 main focuses should be:
Greater State Committee and Grassroots Involvement

The success of our candidates depends on a strong grassroots pulling in the same direction. Toward that end we should:

• Have more frequent meetings of the Executive and State Committee so that decisions made at the State level are supportive and useful to the District and County Parties.
• Be managed through a committee structure that provides for the ability to have ideas “bubble up” from the several committees. Some examples of such committees would be a Messaging, County/District GOP coordination, Technology, etc.
• Utilize the Coalitions and their particular concentration, e.g. Faith, Women, YR, etc. in combinations that will help to attract voters to GOP candidates Click here to read more.

Share our Conservative Message

It is not enough for us to talk amongst ourselves of why the basic values of the Republican Party, e.g. Pro-Life, Lower Taxes, Less Regulation, the Free Market, are the best solutions for what ails the country. We must reach out and translate those values to help others understand that through these values, EVERY American is given the Opportunity to realize the American Dreams. Click here to read more.

Enhance our Technologies

While great strides were made since 2008 to catch up with the Democrats’ use of technology, there is still a gap. We need to continue to improve on our
telecom, Social Media and Targeting technologies in order to maximize our reach. Click here to read more.

BJ is a partner in the management consulting firm, e2 Assure, that specializes in government process improvement and revenue enhancement. His community service includes having served as Board Chairman of the Georgia Charter School Association and he was a member of the first Georgia Charter School Commission. He serves as Worthy Advocate for the Knights of Columbus, Council 11402, and his favorite charity is the Georgia Special Olympics.

BJ is a Georgia Tech Alumnus and lives in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. He and his wife Christy have been married 22 years and have four children: Whitney (17), Avery (13), Cardin (9) and Reagan (6). They attend All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody.
