Adoptable (Official) Georgia Dogs for October 2, 2020

Pringles is a young male Chihuahua mix puppy who is available for adoption from Evelyn’s Place Rescue in Gainesville, GA.

Pringles is 7 weeks old. He will be available to go into his home in one more week. He’s very playful and loves to be held. He gets along well with other dogs and loves toys.

Evelyn’s Place also has several other adoptable puppies.

Buddy is a young male Hound mix puppy who is available for adoption from Evelyn’s Place Rescue in Gainesville, GA.

Buddy is a sweet Bloodhound mix. He is 10 months old and is house trained. He is good with kids and adults. He guards his food and would need to be fed separate for other pets and small children. Look at that face. How can you not fall in love.

Yogi is a young male Corgi and Collie mix who is available for adoption from Evelyn’s Place Rescue in Gainesville, GA.

Yogi is a finicky boy. He takes time to get to know and prefers men. He is getting better with our female staff. He would need to go to patient home and definitely no kids.

If you’re going to miss Georgia football games this season, at least you’ll be in good company. UGA will be watching from home as well, according to the Macon Telegraph.

Georgia’s famed English Bulldog mascot, Uga X, will not be present on the sidelines Saturday night for the team’s first home game against Auburn. SEC guidelines ban live mascots in stadiums this season during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Charles Seiler, Uga’s owner and handler, understands the decision. He called the dog a “magnet” for attention, something that isn’t necessarily a good thing when trying to limit the spread of a disease.

Instead, the dog named the greatest mascot in college football history by Sports Illustrated in 2019 will spend Saturday like countless other pooches across the state.

He’ll don his classic red Georgia jersey, find a cool spot on Seiler’s hardwood floor (“We don’t allow him to climb up on anything,” Seiler said) and watch his team with the volume turned up so he can stay accustomed to the noise.
