My name is Roxanne. I am a great dog for a first time dog owner or as an additional dog! I went out on a weekend foster and my foster parents loved me. I did great with another dog my size, but I did chase the small dogs to play. ??
My fosters laughed so hard when I played with toys. I LOVE toys so much that I will play with them while rolling on my back. ?? I will destroy all of the stuffies, rope toys, and play tug of war with you! But, I’m a good girl so I don’t eat any of the toys. 🙂
I was very good on my leash and never pulled! I love dogs so I will bark when I see another dog but I will ignore them when you call my name. I don’t chew on anything that’s not my toys or food and I’m a fast learner!
I would love to have a dog sibling to help build my confidence. Sometimes I’m a little insecure and unsure what to do. In the past, I wasn’t treated with kindness, so please go slow with me and give me lots of praise.
Mamba is a sweetheart who loves to chill out with her person for snuggles and down time, and go on long walks. A little shy at first, she quickly warmed up on her Dog For A Day outing. Mamba would benefit from a kind adopter who could teach her learn all the wonderful skills that this smart girl would excel at! She is eager to connect and to please, which is a great motivator for learning new skills.
While at the park on a busy Saturday, we saw many other dogs and children and although we did not allow any interaction, Mamba did not exhibit any reactive behavior at the sight of them. She loved being outdoors and so enjoyed a nice roll in the grass, followed by lots of pats and kind words. Mamba seems to be equally comfortable with both women and men! Mambo loves his doggie friends and is a little shy with people. He has discovered that he loves getting to know people on the sofa!
Mambo has learned ‘sit’ and is quickly picking up the ‘down’ command.
We think Mambo would love to find a calm, patient home with a confident, canine sibling.
