Grandpa is an adult male Shepherd mix who is available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter in Marietta, GA.

This handsome boy is Grandpa! He was surrendered to the shelter on 1/29 because his family could no longer care for him. We did learn that Grandpa is good with kids, other animals (did not specify though), and he his house trained. This is all good information to know! Volunteers are not sure why his name is Grandpa since he is still quite a young guy. He is playful and sweet, and initially bolts out of his kennel, but once outside settles down quickly and walks well on a leash. Grandpa also sits nicely when asked and is quite the gentleman while taking treats.

Grandpa is 2 years old and he weighs 78 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and has been neutered and microchipped. Grandpa did test negative for heartworms so that is great news! Please come meet this awesome boy in run 805, his ID # is 642247.

Bert and Ernie are young male Terrier mix puppies who are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter in Marietta, GA.

Introducing sweet Ernie! His previous owner/breeder brought him and his brother Bert to the shelter on 1/25. They are part of a litter of 7 and the owner did not want Bert and Ernie. Ernie is 3 months old and weighs in at 19 pounds. Both pups have a hereditary, genetic disorder that causes permanent hair loss called Congenital Hypotrichosis and Alopecia. Ernie may need a bit of extra care like Omega 3s and sunblock but what a wonderful addition he would be to a family. Ernie is looking for a forever family that he can love on, play with and nap beside. He is available for adoption or rescue. Come spend some play time with this adorable boy. Petey is a young male Hound mix puppy who is available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter in Marietta, GA.

Hello everybody This handsome young lad is named Petey. Petey arrived at the shelter as an owner turn in on 1/31. He thought he had a forever home when adopted but they said he got too excited while playing with the family. He has not made a peep since his arrival at the shelter. He is house broken which is awesome! Can you please help this sweet baby get out of the shelter and let him begin his young life in a good home, a loving house that has a large backyard with a fence so he can play until his heart’s content? He doesn’t deserve to start out his life in a loud, overcrowded shelter. He is a smart cookie because he knows how to sit all by himself, knows how to stay and will work for his treats! Yay for Petey! He is super sweet! He is really awesome on a leash so he would make a great walking/running buddy to explore and go on adventures. You just got to give him a chance. He is a puppy so you have to be patient with him and help him navigate into adult life. Take the time to train him properly, guide him, spend time with him and love him unconditionally. Its what EVERY pup deserves and more!
