Hey there, I’m Shimmer, and just like my name suggests, I’m a little ray of sunshine ready to light up your life! I’m 5 years old, 27 pounds, and I’ve got a heart as sparkling as a star. I may be petite, but what I lack in size I definitely make up for in personality and charm. I’m a food-motivated girl (let’s be real-who isn’t?) so if you’ve got treats, I’m all in! I know a few basic commands like “sit” and “down,” and let me tell you, when there’s a snack involved, I’ll do anything to earn it. I’m very gentle when taking treats-no food aggression here! I’ll take them from your hand like the polite lady I am, and maybe even give you a little “thank you” look while I enjoy every bite.

Foghorn (“Augie” at his foster) is a true Southern gentleman, polite and charming. His signature move is to lean against your leg and flash you his baby blues, mesmerizing you into petting him as though it’s your life’s purpose. This cool drink of sweet tea is a friend to every person he meets and a phenomenal walking partner, graciously adjusting his leggy stride to your pace.

A hound to the core, he loves outdoor adventures full of sniffs, a fine game of retrieve, tracking varmints, and – when he is truly in his feelings – singing the song of his people. His best home will not have shared walls or kitties and will have either a yard or plenty of wooded walks where he can freely express his true self.

Meet Phineas – the happiest, friendliest boy around! Phineas is as dog- and people-friendly as they come. He loves everyone he meets and became instant best friends with his foster dog sibling, Loki. He came in super submissive-which Loki appreciated-and now the two play nonstop. When guests arrive, he gets excited and may give a little jump, but it’s all out of pure joy and love.

This sweet boy is a big fan of soft toys and loves interactive play, especially if it involves squeakers or plushies. Rubber toys aren’t his go-to, but he does enjoy a good sturdy chew bone. He isn’t the slightest bit resource-guarding with toys or food, and he takes treats gently every single time.

As playful as he is, Phineas also has a serious cozy side. He can be a total couch companion and loves snuggling up with his people. At night, he happily sleeps in his crate-his safe space-and often chooses to relax in there even when his humans are in the bedroom.

Phineas does have his quirks: he likes to bark at dogs or people he sees through the back door, and he may pull on walks because he gets excited about the world.
