The animal shelter volunteers are concerned that Luna is not thriving in the shelter and needs to be in a home as soon as possible.
Luna has been in the shelter since January. While she hasn’t been in the shelter as long as some of our other longtimers, she is rapidly declining from kennel stress, which is likely causing her to be overlooked. If potential adopters visit her pen, they will likely see her spinning in circles or bouncing off the walls – sometimes covered in her own loose stool. She’s not able to put on weight and her ribs and hips are noticeable. By all appearances, she is high energy and seems like a wild woman.
But this isn’t who Luna really is. As soon as she comes out of her pen, she immediately settles down. She’s just glad to be out. Luna is a Vizsla mix and Vizslas are known to be loyal and affectionate hunting and sport dogs who love to stay active and engaged on tasks by day and who love to cuddle with and get/give affection to their families by night. They make great pets for active folks who enjoy going for walks, runs, and even hikes. So without the engagement and affection she needs, Luna is struggling. The shelter staff and volunteers can’t provide her with the quality time and stability she needs so we need your help.

This goofy young pup is back in the shelter and looking for a new home. Being so young and appearing to be a working dog at heart, this guy has some energy to burn. But he’s very smart and catches on quickly to commands! He also loves running around outside, playing with toys, and sniffing and exploring his surroundings. This guy will thrive with a family who is familiar with his breed and who will give him all the playtime and training he needs to be the best boy he can be. This handsome guy is so deserving of that perfect home, and we know it’s out there for him, so let’s find a great home or rescue for Flip and get him out ASAP!

This sweet 2yo girl is Lilly! Lilly was found with a microchip, but the information on it wasn’t updated, so she’s looking for her family to find her again or for a new home altogether. This girl is a cute little chunky lovebug who is super sweet and mellow. She knows her commands and will happily sit for a treat! We’d love for this girl’s family to see her post and pick her up from the shelter, but if not, we know she’ll make a great companion for a loving home.
