Adoptable Georgia Dogs for June 11, 2014

To Christians, Grace means the free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings – a second chance. This Grace needs a second chance after being found starving and cold in the winter. A good samaritan took her in and started feeding her and has gotten her fully vetted. The vet estimates she is about 1.5-2 yrs old. Her foster parents have taken good care of Grace, but she is a young energetic dog and they are not able to manage her as well as their cats.

It is not known how Grace is with cats, but she has seen them and has not reacted. She has not been officially cat tested yet. Her foster mom is starting basic obedience and socialization classes with her. Grace is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and is currently being treated for heartworms. She does not have a severe case, but she is undergoing treatment at this time. Her health has not been adversely affected. She is a healthy, active and young dog.

Grace has met a few dogs and has been fine with them, but she will need a home with a laid back dog and preferrably with calm, laid back people as well. Grace is available for foster or adoption from Atlanta Underdog Initiative.

Ralph Ed

Ralph (left) and Ed (right) are brothers, 4 – 6 months old and weighing about 20 pounds. Ralph has already been altered as part of a special program at the University of Georgia vet school! They’re happy, playful pups, and they are available for adoption, either as a pair or singly, from Disaster Response Animal Rescue in Athens, GA.

Cameron is a young Black Lab mix who is heartworm positive. He has been started on a slow-kill method for treatment. Adopters will be given medicine to continue treatment. Cameron is available for adoption from Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter in Toccoa, Ga.
