Free Dog Friday at Fulton County Animal Services

Today, any dog who has been at the Fulton County Animal Shelter for three weeks or more is free to adopt, but normal screening and application requirements still apply. Here is a link to Fulton County’s adoptable dogs.

First, an update on Ruger, a beautiful German Shepherd who was depressed and not eating after being left in the shelter by his owners.

Canine Pet Rescue, the Gwinnett-based group started by Gwinnett County State Court Judge Carla Brown and her husband, Gwinnett County Sheriff Butch Conway, and which is 100% privately-run, rescued Ruger and will help him travel to an out-of-state rescue group, where he will be fostered until he finds a permanent home.

Meet Lyndi, a lovebug who gets along with everyone and is sweet, friendly, and playful. Unfortunately, she’s on the euthanasia list for September 25th unless she finds a home – foster or permanent. She’s available from the Barrow County Animal Shelter. 

This is Raine, a sweet and gorgeous Shepherd mix who loves on children. She’s in danger of being euthanized unless you can help her by providing a foster or permanent home. She’s in the Barrow County Animal Shelter.

Clyde is on the small side – they say he’s a Corgi/Shepherd mix. Dumped with his girlfriend and their puppies, you can see from the photo that he’s great with kids. Available for adoption from Barrow County Animal Shelter.

In a perfect world, Bonnie would be able to stay with Clyde. They’re a bonded pair who had puppies before being put behind bars. She’s also on the small side.
