Adoptable Georgia Dogs for May 29, 2013

Blue is a 10-month old Hound Dog mix who is available for adoption from Lowndes County Animal Services in Valdosta. He’s super-sweet, already neutered and ready for his home.

This beautiful spaniel or bird dog puppy, Trevor, is blind, heartworm positive and in desperate need of adoption from Walton County Animal Shelter, where overcrowding is likely to lead to his euthanasia. If you’re concerned about the care a blind dog needs, I can tell you from experience with my dog Roxy that it’s surprisingly easy for both the dog and the owner. We’ve taught her to be careful going down the stairs in our house and have to be a little more vigilant when we walk her, but the impact of blindness on a dog is almost trivial.

Jasper is a senior lab mix who is mellow, friendly and healthy and in desperate need of adoption from Walton County Animal Shelter. Middle-aged dogs are great companions without the issues that puppies bring.
