Today’s featured dogs come from the Humane Society of Terrell County, Georgia, in Dawson.
Goofy is a large, pure bred, tri-color tripod coonhound around 2-3 years old. He is a very sweet boy with wonderful disposition. Goofy’s former “owner” allowed him to be come injured and he had to have one of his back legs removed. However, Goofy has made a full recovery and walks normally and leads a perfectly happy life on three legs. He is good with other dogs, likes kids (untested with cats). He is submissive and easy going. Goofy is current on shots, neutered, on heartworm prevention and crate trained. He is fantastic dog who deserves a good home. For adoption, you may visit www.hstco.org and download their adoption application or email kimmyjean23@aol.com for more information.
Addison, above, one of 7 lab/plott hound mixed puppies looking for good homes (the rest are Hazel, Brandon, Julia, Stella, Johnathan, and Timothy). She is one of the more medium sized in the litter-she is very sweet and just a typical fun loving puppy. She is at the perfect age to be adopted to a home with kids and other pets. She is working on commands and current on shots.
George is an oreo-coated 1-2 year old mostly border collie who was rescued by one of a volunteer from a busy highway. All shelters and animal control agencies were notified but no one claimed him so she took him into foster. George is a sweet little soul-he is very eager to please and is submissive and grateful. He loves other dogs and would do great in a home with at least one other dog and he is good with kids (he is untested with cats). George is smart and obedient and will be a great pet for someone. He is neutered, current on shots, on heartworm prevention and crate trained.
Shea is a chocolate lab/beagle mix less than a year old. Shea was brought to the shelter as a young puppy by someone who found her but could not keep her. She was in terrible shape-she has severe mange and was almost completely hairless. It took some time but Shea is now healthy and ready to be adopted. All of her fur has grown back except for small place on her nose (and we expect that to grow back as well). Shea is very friendly and lives to please people. She is very intelligent and learns commands easily. She is good with kids and other pets. Shea will make someone a wonderful loving pet. Shea is spayed, current on shots, on heartworm prevention and crate trained.
