Lifeline Animal Services is running a special at DeKalb County Animal Services and Fulton County Animals Services, where any dog who weighs 25 pounds or more and all cats are available for adoption for $17.76 during the month of July. If you’ve been considering adopting a new best friend, this might be the right time to start looking.

Edith is a 4 year old blue Pittie beauty who doesn’t understand why she doesn’t have a family yet. She’s the whole package! She loves to play, nap, and has a lot of human friends here at the shelter. She dreams of the day where she can sleep on the sofa and sunbathe in your window. She seems like she has a moderate energy level and seems like she would be eager to learn some basic commands. Dodger is a happy-go-lucky 2-year old Pointer / Lab mix with adorable speckles and a personality for the books. This boy is always happy! Dodger loves to make his humans happy. He already knows how to sit and would love to learn more, especially if treats are involved. One thing Dodger loves more than treats is getting a good back scratch from the human closest to him. He seems like an active boy who would not only be an awesome workout buddy, but a great cuddle buddy too! Cheyenne is an adorable 27-pound 4-month old lab mix girl who came into the shelter with demodex (a non-contagious form of mange). This sweet shy girl is available for adoption or rescue. Come break Cheyenne out of the shelter so she can recover outside of this stressful environment. Decatur, GA.

Demodex mange is considered non-contagious and is usually treated with getting the dog into a home, which helps their immune system strengthen and fight better and anti-parasitic Ivermectin. It’s not at all difficult to deal with in a dog.
