Adoptable Georgia Dogs for August 30, 2013

Orlando is a great yellow Lab who is affectionate to people, get along well with his canine colleagues, and loves riding in a car. He is available for adoption from the Flint Humane Society in Vienna, Ga. Remus here is described as a German Shepherd, but looks a little bit like a Great Dane to me. He and his brother Romulus are available for adoption from the Flint Humane Society.

The Big Pig Jig in Vienna is one of the premier barbecue extravaganzas in Georgia and the nation. Over its thirty-year history it’s received numerous national awards, had a Food Network 1-hour special and is the southeast’s largest, and Georgia’s first official barbecue contest.

I hope to make a trip to Vienna this year for the Big Pig Jig, held October 31 through November 2, 2013. Here’s hoping elections on November 5th don’t interfere.
