Adoptable Georgia Dogs for April 29, 2013

Sterling Weimaraner2Sterling is an absolutely beautiful male Weimaraner approximately 5 years old, who is available for adoption from Pup & Cat Co. in Winder, Ga. He had some rough beginnings, probably living outdoors, and was found and picked up with eye, ear and skin problems, caused from neglect and lack of attention and good food.

With special and loving care, Sterling is a well and happy boy. He’s crate trained and housebroken and gets along with other dogs but needs his own home preferably with someone knowing his breed. There is the chance that he might have to have eyedrops administered daily because of dry eye but that might not be the case either. He’s looking for a kind and loving family to spent the rest of his life with. He will require a fence. For more information about adopting Sterling, email dogcat@bellsouth.net.

Sally Weimaraner

Sally is an active, lovable, approx. 7 year old, female, weim/lab mix who needs a good home. She is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, and on monthly heartworm meds. Sally was left for dead on someone’s property about a year ago and was taken in and cared for:

She could hardly lift her head. I loaded her on a golf cart, took her to the house and fed and watered her. She had not eaten for some time. I took her to the vet, had her shots and a couple of prescriptions. I am unsure if she had been hit by a car, fell off a truck, or her owner just threw her out. She insisted on going back to the exact same spot where I found her for weeks. I would go looking for her, and there she was, as if she was waiting for someone to come back for her. It was heartbreaking. I contacted the humane society to see if anyone had put in a missing dog report, but there was none. I posted her on peanutfriends.org for missing pets, with no replies. I went to neighbor’s homes, however, no one had ever seen her before. I an not able to keep her because of family, work, and time constraints. Sally is a fantastic dog and will make a wonderful companion. She is good with small children, housebroken and friendly. The re-homing fee for Sally is $100.

HallCountyDallas copy
Dallas is just shy of a year old and weighs about 55lbs and is available for adoption from Lake Lanier Humane League in Gainesville, Ga. She is house-broken and crate trained. She is an active, playful pup that walks well on the leash and loves to ride in the car with you. Dallas is a very smart girl and will watch events first…I can almost see her brain thinking 🙂 Dallas is shy at first but once she warms up, she is a love. She is fostered with dogs and cats. She would do best with a fenced in yard.
