You can try printing a copy of the notice by the Oconee County Sheriff’s that Valentine’s Day is cancelled from North of I-16, running roughly from Macon to Savannah, to the Georgia/Tennessee border. But if your Valentine’s Day plan consisted of a handful of lottery tickets and a Hershey’s bar, you were going to be in trouble anyway.
The DeKalb County Animal Shelter is discounting all adoptions in February to $14 for Valentine’s Day. We don’t recommend surprising your significant other with a dog or cat because you forgot to make reservations, but if you have given serious consideration to adopting a pet, this is a great way to do it. Just make sure you take your Valentine with you to pick out your new family member.
