Ginger is an adult female mixed breed dog who is available for adoption from Screven County Spay & Neuter Corp. in Sylvania, GA.
Ginger came into rescue as a tiny fluff of red fur, full of puppy charm and promise. We watched her grow, we placed her with hope. But now, a year and a half later, Ginger has returned, and this time, we’re determined to get it right. She struggled in her last home with the amount of visitors and didn’t get along with the other family pet.
Ginger is absolutely stunning. With golden eyes that glimmer like the sun and a one-ear-up, one-ear-down signature look, she turns heads wherever she goes. Ginger isn’t a dog for just anyone. She has lived in a home – but according to her former adopters, she’s selective with other dogs, and nervous around visitors. She needs someone who understands dogs, who won’t force affection, who respects boundaries, and who will patiently help her build trust at her own pace.
What Ginger Needs:
• A quiet, adult-only home with a boring social life- or someone who is willing to crate her away from strangers while they’re in the home.
• Someone experienced with nervous or under-socialized dogs
• A slow introduction to any other pets
• A securely fenced yard
• A heart full of patience, and a willingness to let her come around on her terms
Puppies have just arrived into rescue and are currently not even 5 weeks old. (DOB 1/19/26) They are legally required to remain in rescue until they are 8 weeks. Because of this, they will not be able to leave rescue until March 16th 2026.
