Buddy is an adult male Hound mix who is available for adoption from the Animal Refuge Foundation of Wayne Co., Inc. in Jesup, GA.

Buddy is a very sweet, submissive Walker Hound who is searching for a loving family with a fenced yard. He is good with all aged people and with other dogs. He is house trained and can navigate a doggy door. He is aged somewhere between 2 and 3 years. He is neutered. vaccinated, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention.

Daisy is an adult female Hound mix who is available for adoption from the Animal Refuge Foundation of Wayne Co., Inc. in Jesup, GA.

Daisy is a real sweetheart who wants to be someones pet! She gives you the most inquisitive look when you are talking to her. She is spayed, UTD on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative. She loves playing with the other dogs in her foster home and adores human visitors of all ages. She wants to be a pet, not just a hunting dog.

Duke is an adult male mixed breed dog who is available for adoption from the Animal Refuge Foundation of Wayne Co., Inc. in Jesup, GA.

Duke says “I have gone from living in a feces filled broke down shed (I will leave it at that) to a cozier life with A/C, a warm bed, and dog friends. My foster mom says I’m the best boy and am ready for my very own family and home. I’m 41 pounds of love and affection, almost 2 years old, HW Negative, UTD on shots, rabies, neutered and microchipped.”

Nicholas the dog was reunited with a former owner after his most recent owner died.

I received a call from a young lady from Pine Mountain, Georgia, that simply blew me away. She slowly and carefully began explaining to me, while fighting back tears, that Nicholas “Nick Nick” was her childhood dog. That she grew up in that house through her teenage years and lived there with her mother, who was the caretaker for the veteran, who passed away last year.

A family member saw my post and sent it to her and asked “isn’t this your dog?“ She then told me about how she moved out when she was 18 and got married, and her new rental home would not allow any pets so he stayed with the veteran and her mother. About two years ago her mother stopped being his caretaker and by then he had become the veteran gentleman’s dog basically. She had no idea until today that the home had been foreclosed on, and that Nicholas was abandoned and left in such distress. We both acknowledged that it was “God that has brought us both together” with a little help from the Internet, which is amazingly powerful.

So this evening I met her at the house, and they were reunited after over three years apart. It took a few moments, but he recognized her, and I’ve never seen him so happy. She told me he is 16 years old, which is amazing to me as he doesn’t look that old. You just can’t make this stuff up folks. So today they rode off into the sunset together, and I for one could not be happier! Amen and God bless all those who took a moment to help this furry little guy who had fallen on such hard times.
