Snellville political troubles head to Ga. Supreme Court on Tuesday | Gwinnett Daily Post

Snellville officials are starting 2015 the way they started 2014, 2013, 2012 and so many years before: arguing.

On Tuesday, they’ll take it to the Georgia Supreme Court and once again rehash the issue of whether Mayor Kelly Kautz has the authority to fire City Attorney Tony Powell against the wishes of the city council. The court has agreed to review a Georgia Court of Appeals decision from March that said the power to get rid of the city attorney rested with the council, not the mayor.
