Perdue Earns Victory At Hometown Debate
Conservative businessman David Perdue earned a clear victory tonight over liberal Democrat Michelle Nunn at the first televised U.S. Senate debate in Houston County, GA. Following the debate in which Perdue outlined specific policy initiatives to move America forward, Georgia Republican Party Chairman John Padgett issued the following statements:
“David Perdue is a proven leader with the courage to shake up Washington and put America back on the path to prosperity. As our next U.S. Senator, David will end President Obama’s job killing agenda and work to usher in a new wave of economic growth and opportunity.
“Unlike Michelle Nunn, who ducks the tough questions and hides behind attack ads from her backers in D.C., we know where David Perdue stands on the key issues that matter to Georgia voters. From repealing Obamacare to balancing the budget, supporting our active duty military and veterans to cutting burdensome taxes and mandates, we can trust David Perdue to represent our conservative, Georgia values in Washington.”
