LAWRENCEVILLE – A SWAT standoff in Gwinnett County ended peacefully Thursday night when authorities were able to convince a murder suspect barricaded inside a Lawrenceville home to surrender himself to police custody.
According to a media release posted on social media, Devon Jenkins was previously wanted by Gwinnett County authorities in the August 6th murder of Adam Schrier, as well as the alleged shootings of an unnamed woman and small child. The release says Jenkins had barricaded himself inside a Bedford Bay Lane home with 4 children and an adult female, and repeatedly refused to surrender to the authorities.
