Adoptable Georgia Dogs for April 2, 2014

Waldo

Waldo is a coonhound who is currently at a shelter, but has a rescue interested in pulling him and getting him to a foster home. So, Waldo needs a temporary foster home until he can be transported to his long-term foster. If you’re interested in helping Waldo for a few weeks, please email Janice at quietzsch@aol.com.

To learn more about Road Trip Home and their unique mission of transporting dogs from kill shelters to other areas of the country where shelters are not nearly as full as in Georgia, and where there is a good “market” for adoptable dogs, please visit their website.

Cabernet Merlot

Check out these sweet sisters, Cabernet and Merlot, who look like twins in the face, but one has an all-white body, while the other is black-and-tan. They’re about ten months old; Cabernet, with the white body, weighs 36 pounds and Merlot weighs 42 pounds.

They are very much bonded and really love each other. They are playful girls but well behaved. They know so sit and stay on command and listen very well. Both are current on vaccines, spayed and tested heartworm negative. They will be micro chipped upon adoption and can be found in cage 330 in the puppy/small dog room. It would be preferred if they could be adopted together and live in the same home, but not required.

Cabernet and Merlot are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information.

ZeusFOSA

Zeus is an 8-month old, 30 pound Basset Hound mix whose owner brought him to the shelter without a leash, tossed him on the floor, and said, “here, he’s all yours” and left. But despite all this Zeus is super sweet, and sits when asked. He is up to date on shots, and will be neutered, heartworm tested and microchipped when adopted. Zeus is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information.
